  1. Def. agree... The slbum sounds like it's from 2002. The lyrics were def. There, just production was a little outdated. Although on some tracks the production worked well. Like breakdown, lost ones, and never told. I hope he continues to grow with his production skills. Maybe with his new found success, he'll get some lessons

  2. There is so much I want to say about the album but I will keep it simple.
Dollar and a Dream III is a song for the 'OG' fans as Cole would call us. I liked that he continued a third version of the song "I got the nerds rapping hard shit, dummies rapping smart shit" In this song he mentions his mom, his girl, his brother, his FANS, and his mans(homies). "Look what a nigga made out" he is basically explaining his grind and his drive to succeed.
Can't get enough - is aight. It's a bounce track. Can't help but nod to it. Surprised it made the album after I heard it didn't make the cut.
Lights Please - Didn't think it should have been on the album. This song is a classic! It never gets skipped no matter how old it is.
Sideline Story - It's ok. It fits on the album but does get skipped at times.
Mr. Nice Watch - ummm..... No question that the beat is sick...matter of fact, awesome!!! It took me a while to feel the word play but I do think that Jay and Cole could have came harder. It's far from a CLASSIC Jay and Cole song. The beat saved it from being a fail.
Cole World - This is one of my favorites! I love how he put the No Limit vibe in it 'right chea, right chea'. This song is a hit to me. Cole is a Master P No Limit fan so it was right that he paid homage. It's a fun song that talks about his new found fame. It ROCKS at the shows as well.
In The Morning - Should have been left off the album! He should have put the original version if he wanted to use the song.
    Lost Ones - CLASSIC!
Nobody's Perfect - it wasn't Cole's best lyrics but MISSY did her thing. Her voice was incredible. S/O to Juro for mixing the hell out of that song. (one of my favorites)
Never Told - considering it was produced by NO ID I was expecting a better production. The lyrics were great but the production was 'blah'. The message was typical Cole.
Rise and Shine - I love the beat! The intro to it set the song off right. Overall, great production and great song. (5/5) for me! (one of my favorites)
God's Gift - Seeing him perform this track is much better than hearing it on the album. Nice lyrics (4.5/5)
Breakdown - This is my favorite on the entire album! It's an emotional song. How could you not like it?!?!
Workout - should not have closed the album out. I would have rather heard 'God's Gift' as the last song on the album. Love that song!

    J. Cole had a lot of hype to live up to for this album. Overall I was impressed. I did expect more new music but I know that all of the song choices were not up to him. It has an old school vibe to it which is something different than whats out now. The old school sound is his style and I like it! Hip Hop culture should be proud! I do believe that this is an Classic album. *COLEWORLD*

  3. I have enjoyed the Cole album. Definitely expected more considering the hype but while I have heard the words Classic album...I will have to disagree with that. While he has classic songs the album it self is not. Overall I would call it a 4 star album, hasnt left the deck since I bought it so that says something! I really think the rumors of him and Jay beefing along with him not holding back lyrics when it comes to speaking on or about Jay have some validity, after seeing final result of the album. Honestly believe Jay didnt put his all into it as we can see from his lyrics on Mr. Nice Watch. But I have to mention the song Breakdown, a song that hits so close to home in the first verse I literally almost broke down. With all that said I look for Cole to be a force in hip hop for years to come although I dont know how long it will be with RocNation.
