Drakes critically acclaimed 3rd official mixtape. Although it was his 3rd, it felt like his first with so many searching and anticipating the night before it dropped. This mixtape changed the game of mixtapes. Mixtapes are no longer freestyles over your favorite beats. Big labels won’t allow artist to put out the music they want, so artist now take those songs and make it in to mixtapes. From the labels eyes, albums are out to attract new fans, and believe the fanbase accrued will just continue.
